C1800: A George III scottish horn mull with silver mounts and decorated with a thistle, it bears the inscription H.C 1809 to it's hinged lid. The scots took to snuffing much earlier than the English but it was not made of tobacco instead dried sneezewort was used which was used from everything to a toothache sneeshin (flu). The mulls were crafted by Coopers. A superb collectors early piece.
